New York Fashion Week Street Style with Harry Josh Pro Tools

Hi everyone, I’m so excited to be guest blogging for Dermstore and I can’t wait to share a recap of my New York Fashion Week hair looks and outfits from Day 1! The first day of NYFW is arguably the most important because everyone is so excited to be in the city and to see the looks that are going to come down the runways. I spent my day visiting showrooms, meeting with brands and taking in the fabulous fashion at the Tommy Hilfiger show!

You want to look your absolute best, but when you’re up against 90 degree temperatures and lots of humidity, it’s easier said than done! Thankfully, my Harry Jost Marcel Iron had me looking sleek and kept my hair glamorous all day. I created two looks: one for daytime and one for the night. Since it’s hottest during the day, I opted for a sleek updo. While it looks fancy and red-carpet glamorous, it’s honestly super easy to re-create! Just follow these simple steps.

Step 1:
Curl all of your hair using the Harry Jost Marcel Iron to create loose waves.

Step 2: Pull back two sections from the front of your hair and twist the to the back of your head. Use the Harry Josh clips to keep any unwanted hairs out of the way. Leave out a small section near your bangs. Connect both twisted sections with bobby pins.

Step 3: Pull your hair back as if you’re going to put it in a ponytail, then bend it in half at the nape of your neck and secure with a hair tie.

Step 5: Curl remaining “bangs” portion. Optional: For extra hold secure with hairspray and/or pomade.

Step 10

For my night look, I wanted a style that was a bit more easy breezy. Loose wavy hair is always a hit on the runways, so for the Tommy Hilfiger show I decided to create my own supermodel hair! After taking out the hair tie and pins from my day look, I brushed out my hair, added a bit of anti-frizz serum (the humidity was no joke!) and began curling it all over. I like to start my curls about halfway down from the top of my head to create a more natural look.

I swiped on a bit of red lipstick for maximum glamour, and was out the door! I hope you enjoyed this recap! And I’d love to hear about your experiences using a Marcel Iron. Are you as obsessed with this tool as I am? Let me know and feel free to share your favorite hairstyles down in the comment section! You can see more of my outfits and beauty favorites on my blog and Instagram.
